Managing Partner

Russ has built a deep understanding of energy markets built over more than two decades in the business. He began his career in sales with AllEnergy at the advent of electricity deregulation, managing sales and operations throughout New England.

In 2001, Russ joined Northeast Energy Partners as President and equity partner, leading the company on a prosperous 11-year trajectory marked by triple-digit sales growth and the development of a 20+ FTE sales team. Over the course of his tenure, he earned a reputation with suppliers, partners, and employees for building passionate, knowledgeable, and productive customer-focused teams.

Russ was the leading force behind Northeast Energy Partners’ 2012 acquisition by World Energy Solutions (later acquired by EnerNOC). While at World Energy, Russ served as Vice President of Sales for the Northeast Region, leading a team of 20 salespeople and partners to meet the energy needs of his clients.

Today, Russ applies his extensive energy-markets experience as a co-founder and Managing Partner of Yolon Energy, an energy brokerage and consulting firm, as well as a co-founder and Managing Partner of Bidwell Energy, a leading wholesale energy procurement firm.

Russ holds a degree in Marketing from Western New England University and formerly served as an Intelligence Operations Specialist for the Air National Guard.
